Mission Statement

The objectives of the PPTC are to assist Palomares School in its endeavors, both educationally and financially, to support and follow the processes and procedures of the school and the school district, and to promote goodwill among the families, staff and school community.

Welcome

As parents, we all want and expect the best education for our children. We at Palomares are fortunate to have excellent teachers and an outstanding learning environment. Our school community thrives through the dedication of the staff and parents in partnership. As the focal point for parental involvement, the Palomares Parent-Teacher Club is essential to the continuing excellence of our school.

The Palomares Parent-Teacher Club (PPTC) is comprised of parents just like you volunteering their time and talents to enrich the school experience of our children. Many everyday items and special activities would not be available to our students without the parents.

Did you know that ...

  • The State established standards for Fine Arts education, yet provides no funding for it. The Fine Arts program at Palomares is entirely funded and staffed by the PPTC.
  • The CVUSD provides only $100 per year toward the Library. The projected cost for this year is about $1600, and the PPTC covers the difference.
  • The PPTC provides funding for the purchase of computer hardware and software for the classrooms.
  • The disaster preparedness kits are acquired and administered by the PPTC.
  • The PPTC subsidizes class field trips.

We also sponsor fun annual events such as the Thanksgiving Feast, Winter Holiday Program, Family Campout, plus visits by professional artists and musicians. In addition, PPTC funds pay for classroom supplies, playground equipment, garden supplies, and more.

The PPTC is able to do all this because parents are actively involved. Recognizing the value of the PPTC in furthering our childrens' education, the Board provides the leadership to keep the PPTC vital. Parents contribute as volunteers to ensure that the many activities proceed as planned. Please review the committees to see how you can do your part.
